I've made several Holiday word books and to my surprise, the Ho Ho Ho book is a favorite. (Ho Ho Ho.... Theres a joke in there somewhere I can feel it)

Let It SNOW

Another fun Holiday sign - This time 'Let It SNOW' I used opposites and Plantin - All the letters are cut from vinyl.

'They Followed The Star'

ANOTHER sign....I couldnt stop. I had to make a sign for the front porch too. I made this quite big because it will be hanging outside next to the front door.

We Believe!

Yep.... We Believe! I love the 'believe' signs that you see everywhere so I decided to make one of my own. I used the same paint, glitter, and colors that we used on the tree.

Marshmallow-mania has returned....

Yep its true... Marshmallow-mania is back. We are in the process of designing and building the new 2008 Super Cool Marshmallow Shooters. We hope to have pictures up by this evening! Thanks for all your emails!

"The tree of glitter"

We went glitter CRAZY! I saw so many beautiful ornaments in stores this but they are so expensive its nuts - especially since I like to do different themes every year. So.... I went to WalMart and bought super cheap floral picks, glitter, poinsettias, and hydrangeas. I brought them home and glittered everything. I also used glitter on ornaments that I already had. I did almost everything in chocolate and copper.

Isaac LOVES the Christmas Village!

Nothing is more fun than a great Christmas Village......

Ericas Thanksgiving Day Table

Erica set the Thanksgiving table this year and I think she did a pretty good job!

Its a wrap 3.5" demo

http://www.mediafire.com/?2mjmg1zj0lh I approached this project from several different angles and I have found a winner (or at least my favorite). I'm not sure how clear my instructions are so please contact me if you have questions. In the cut file I have included small marks for scoring. If they are not visible after cutting gently slide your fingernail down the side and you will find them. I use a ruler and small crochet hook to score my projects.... works like a charm! Glue the ends of the bands together then mark and score at 3.5" all the way down.
Glue two box sections across eachother. Next glue your bands around the inner box. Be sure that your seams are placed on either the north or south ends of the box (this picture is side-ways - the pointed end is the north end). When the box is closed the seam will lay under the outer card. Thats it... simple hu! Now just wrap your box up! I have used several different methods to hold the box closed... belly bands, velcroe dots, flap or slot' closure, ribbon....... Whatever you would like.

Its a wrap box - new smaller size

Since the larger box requires 3 sheets of paper, I decided to cut it down a bit. I created a smaller 3.5" base (black w/green ribbon)

'Its A Wrap' gift box

New fun little box I came up with last night. I cant wait to fill them with fun treats for my neighbors and friends. They would also be great for little favors. Print your guests names on the boxes and they are perfect place cards and favors for Thanksgiving.

Heart connection Pedestal (round)

Just another shape for the pedestal. It still needs embellishing - I am working on it.

Heart Connection Pedestal

I love making these little stand-up 'things' The heart shape is not my favorite but its cute. This particular one tells a short story about my sons first fishing trip. They are easy to make and can be used for favors, centerpieces, teacher gifts... pretty much anything. I am working on a bunch for Thanksgiving right now. I really like being able to send my guests home with something other than left-overs! I found a bunch of old pictures of my grandparents so I thought I would use those and include funny phrases that are classic Grandma and Grandpa to embellish. I will also include a DVD with all the pictures that I use (and use my DVD Envy of course!).
Thanks for looking. I will post the pattern later this afternoon.

Fly Fishing! (I cant believe this worked too)

I threw a bunch of flies on my printer, put in some soft green card stock and hit print. This is what I got.
I'm having too much fun with this.

My very own Decorative Paper!!!!

Ok, I am helping my kids make a "Dads BRAG Book" for his upcoming birthday. Yesterday, I made the trip to Roberts and spent a chunk of change for materials (I also had to stand in line for over 20 minutes and it wasn't that busy!!!! But that's another story for another day). When we started on the book I realized that I would need more decorative paper. Unwilling to return to Roberts, I began to scan my craft room for inspiration. As I looked around I spotted various fabrics I have to make a quilt for my son, including old jeans..... I thought "ah-ha". I picked up a pair of jeans, threw them on my printer and hit copy. I used off white card stock to print on. Oh my gosh! It really worked! Next I took some of the flannel and did the same thing. I turned out great too! You could even see the kinda fuzzy texture of the flannel. So, I have been able to create my own decorative paper! Wahoo! I am sure that many of you have used this technique before, but it’s a first time for me and I just had to share!

French Fry Box Instructions

This shows where you need to score to fold your french fry box.
Line up your ruler with the 'notch' and the bottom flap. Score paper. Repeat on other side.
If you look carefully at the top of the box (big curved end) theres a tiny little 'notch' its very small but look close its there. Line your ruler up with notch and bottom flap fold and score.
Now just score the bottom two lines (from flap to flap) that will form the bottom of the box. I'm not sure if these instructions will help or not. Please email me if you have any trouble.
Thanks!

I love the color in the mountains, but come on I'M NOT READY! So.... I am trying to come up with fun 'fall' crafts to get me in the mood for the cold. ( I know I will feel ok when I see the beautiful colors and then the gorgeous white snow - but its the thought of summer leaving that I'm not dealing with right now.) Here's my start on "Cheer-Me-Up" fall crafts.....

Frankie and his Castle Fry Box

Abracadabra Gift Card Holder

Do you remember when you were a kid and you had one of those magic wallets? Open it one way and the money was under the X open it from the other side and it.s under two bars…… Well that’s my new twist on the good old gift card holder!
You dont have to use the Cricut with this project but since I'm a Cricut addict I use it for EVERYTHING!
TA-DA
Its MAGIC!

We had so much fun making these today! They are just way too fun.

* INSTRUCTIONS *
Cut 4 chipboard squares and 4 squares of decorative paper measuring 2.75” x 3.75” from the cart of your choice. I like accent essentials because of the rounded corners. (I use cereal boxes as my chipboard – Having 2 boys ensures that I have a plethora of empty cereal boxes!) You will need 4 pieces of coordinating ribbon approximately 4” each. Assembly gets a little tricky so you want plenty of ribbon to work with. Glue the paper pieces that you have chosen for the inside of the card to 2 pieces of chipboard - do the same for your outside chipboard and decorative paper Next take 2 pieces of ribbon and lay them in an X across one inside piece . At this point I take a good size piece of tape and stick it to my hand a few times to take some of the sticky off. I place the tape over the X just to hold it in place as I assemble the card. Do the same thing to the other inside chip board but your ribbon will be placed as two horizontal bars. I use the same tape technique to hold ribbon in place. IMPORTANT – The ends of the X ribbon must fit INSIDE of the 2 bars of ribbon. Do Not overlap ribbon ends. (see picture below) Lay your two pieces of chipboard side by side – you will need to make the 4 ends of ribbon go UNDER the opposite chipboard (see pic). This can be a little tricky – I prefer to use ribbon that has a little body, it makes this step a little easier.
Now flip both pieces over and tape or glue ends of ribbon to the other piece of chipboard. Tape or glue the outside ends of the ribbon around to the back of its chipboard. (its a little hard to see the green ribbon glued to the back side because of the writing on my chipboard)
You are now ready to glue the two outside pieces of paper covered chip board on top sandwiching the end of the ribbon.
That's it! Decorate and embellish with whatever you want!
I like to use belly bands around the width to secure the card together and to prevent the gift card from slipping out the ends. I also use a small amount of tape behind the gift card to hold it centered.
