My very own Decorative Paper!!!!

Ok, I am helping my kids make a "Dads BRAG Book" for his upcoming birthday. Yesterday, I made the trip to Roberts and spent a chunk of change for materials (I also had to stand in line for over 20 minutes and it wasn't that busy!!!! But that's another story for another day). When we started on the book I realized that I would need more decorative paper. Unwilling to return to Roberts, I began to scan my craft room for inspiration. As I looked around I spotted various fabrics I have to make a quilt for my son, including old jeans..... I thought "ah-ha". I picked up a pair of jeans, threw them on my printer and hit copy. I used off white card stock to print on. Oh my gosh! It really worked! Next I took some of the flannel and did the same thing. I turned out great too! You could even see the kinda fuzzy texture of the flannel. So, I have been able to create my own decorative paper! Wahoo! I am sure that many of you have used this technique before, but it’s a first time for me and I just had to share!
