Decorating with paper

I LOVE this idea from Better Homes and Gardens!
I can imagine doing this for just every day decorating as well as for holidays and parties. So cute and oozing with dough-style.
To make the flowers, cut a flower shape or 3 inch circles from eight layers of tissue paper. Place in a stack. Next, poke a hole through the stack with a pin. Pull the paper off the tip of a twist tie and insert the exposed wire through the paper layers. Twist the wire to create the flower center. Make the flower bloom by gently pulling up one layer at a time.

Kid Friendly Crispy Chicken Strips

Crispy Chicken Strips
(the kids are gonna love these!)
Nonstick cooking spray
2 1/2 cups crushed cheddar fish, crackers, or pretzels
2/3 cup bottled buttermilk ranch dressing (we love honey dijon too)
1 lb chicken breast tenderloins
Heat oven to 425 and line a baking dish with foil (lightly spray foil with cooking spray). In a shallow dish place the crushed crackers or pretzels. In another shallow dish place the ranch dressing or honey dijon mustard. Dip chicken strips into the dressing and allow excess to drip off, then place chicken into crushed crackers and coat evenly. Place chicken on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink or reaches 170 degrees Fahrenheit. Another great recipe from BHG!

Another baby gift......

My darling neighbors just had a new baby boy last month and so last night I put together a cute little towel for new baby Liam.
I wasn't quite sure what to do for a baby boy but finally found some great ribbon and then added a couple of big buttons.

Baby Hoodie-Towels

I needed a couple cute baby gifts so I thought hmmmmm...... How about creating a really cute hooded towel made from a super soft and fluffy adult towel.....
Voila!
These little things turned out so dang darn cute I can hardly stand it!
I used tulle to create little ruffles in pink and brown. I attached the ruffles then turned back the edge of the towel to create a cute little hood.
On the second towel I used leopard fabric that I had to make two ruffles, then trimmed it in sequins. You can never have too much bling ladies.
I thought the tulle need a little extra so I added a small row of chocolate brown trim then made three roses from my leopard fabric and backed them with a little fluff of tulle.

leopard rag quilt

Seriously.... How cute is this!
My latest rag quilt turned out to be purty-darn cute. I couldn't be more pleased!

This time around I used leopard flannel, chocolate brown minkee and the most darling pink chiffon ruffle fabric that I have EVER seen!

Fancy-Shmancy baby wipes case

Everythings Better with Bling!
Its been an incredibly long summer with Mom in the hospital since June! Ugh! I am always trying to make her surroundings a little more 'home-like' and this is my latest attempt. Mom loves to have wipes near her to keep her hands clean so I decided to bling up the case. Here is what happened...........
