Corn Husk Wreaths

Corn Husk Wreath

I love season changes simply because I get to change out all my wreaths. Lately I've been challenging myself on creating wreaths for NEXT TO NOTHING. I'm so tired of spending hundreds of dollars to decorate my doors.
Its been incredibly easy to come up with fun festive and beautiful wreaths all of which are under 10 bucks! YUP - TEN BUCKS
Exhibit A: Corn husk wreaths in any color or shape you choose
1 bag of corn husks from Albertsons $3.49
1 can of red/burgundy spray paint from Big Lots $1.99 1 styrofoam wreath form from the dollar store $1.00 (sugar glitter which I had up in my craft room)
hot glue
begin gluing corn husks around your wreath frame (slightly layering)
Take the wreath outside to spray paint your first layer of husks. Allow to dry. Next, take your wreath back in and add another layer of corn husks in the same way as the first layer. Then spray with paint. Continue until you get the desired look. For the inner layers of the wreath I rip the corn husks into narrower and shorter pieces which helps create beautiful depth. I also use a little spray bottle of water to dampen the husks causing them to curl a little.
