Seriously... Why didn't I do this before?
At last, I took matters into my own hands. I love glitter mist on anything and everything. Now I can create my own version of glitter mist in any color combination I see fit. (for some weird reason glimmer mist is hard to find in Utah. If you are lucky enough to find it its usually in a funky color and outragously expensive.)
I used a small spray bottle, warm water, glitter dust, mod podge, and a color base.
I filled the spray bottle with water about 3/4 full. Next I add my color base. For this you can use ink refill, acrylic paint or food coloring. You only need to add a small amount of color. Next I add the bling which is glitter dust, micro-fine glitter, or even old eyeshadow powder. The final step is optional. I use just a drop or two of white glue or mod podge. This helps the dust stick to the surface of your project. Another way of 'setting' the mist is to spray your project with hairspray when dry.
Ta-da! Thats it. Fabulous bling, dough style of course.
