Isaac's new FAVE

My boys LOVE french toast. Chance started making his own french toast when he was in the first grade. So cute!
A few weeks ago I came across a super easy bread pudding recipe which actually turns out like a breakfast casserole. Isaac LOVES it!

(*Dianna, I just got your email. SO SORRY! I'll post the recipe pronto! Duh!)

Cube approximately 8 Cups of bread. You can use day old or I prefer to place the bread cubes in a warm oven and kinda toast them.

In a medium bowl mix:

6 eggs ¼ t. salt 1 C. sugar ¼ t. nutmeg ¼ t. cinnamon ½ t. vanilla

Mix gently with a whisk only until combined. You don’t want the eggs to become frothy. Next, slowly add 1 qt (32) half and half. Pour mixture over bread and let sit for about 2 hours. Heat oven to 350 and bake for 50 minutes in a water bath. I like to make this the night before and let it sit in the frig overnight. When I wake in the morning, I just pop it in the oven and by the time the boys are up its fresh, warm and yummy!
